Good morning, Vagabonds. Still too cold to swim in south Florida. The pool water’s warm, but I don’t want to risk pneumonia by getting out of the water into the cold air.
Preparing for my birthday this Friday – I’ll be 74 and also preparing to go to Israel for Passover.
@Alexikakos You can delete what you wrote on GoComics by cursering to the bottom of your message and a delete option will come up. I do it all the time when I notice I made a typo and put a new message in with the typo corrected. (I just did that when I realized I spelled your name wrong). BTW Are you Greek?
Morning, Village.No-one even tried to answer. Maybe y’all don’t remember who Stymie was. He was that cute little bald headed African American kid who liked to wear a derby hat. His name was Matthew Beard and the hat was actually a gift from Stan Laurel in real life.
@FLORCHI: Thank you for the tip about finding photos of jacaranda trees on Google, but for some reason the photos aren’t as good as seeing them in person.
@Alexikakos: My father was a Canadian from Ottawa. Whenever I complained about the winter weather in New York he told me that in Ottawa no one saw a dry sidewalk until MAY.
Good morning Vagabonds..Our townmeeting is in session and we’re working on electing town officials.I won’t stay long, this can last a while..Have a nice day..ttfn
Alex, I too saw all three of your posts. I did check out the link, and it is very funny. As you said, most of the time I am the guy on the left, but every once in a while…….
Slim, I attempted to send to you Alex’s cartoon via Facebook. We’ll see how that turns out.
Arye, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Many, many more, my friend. After all, you have to catch up to Slim…… I would love to join you for Passover in Isreal. It is one of my dreams.
Hello again..The day is bright, but not sunny. It is warm..I wish to call your attention to my avitar. it is Natz Germany’s pride and joy the airship Hindenburg flying over NYC. It was this day in 1937 that she blew up and burned in Lakehurst NJ. Just a little historic note..Ok I’m gone, see you folks tomorrow..ttfn
Arye, HAPPY BIRTHDAY but you and Slim will have away to go to catch me as I celebrate my 84th birthday the 18th of March. I can’t believe I’ve lasted this long. I guess God wants to keep me around for some reason.
Wow……..chatty group today! It is really fun to hear from everyone!
Happy Birthday to you, Arye! It’s refreshing to hear all your stories and how active you are! Have a wonderful trip to Israel, too. What an adventure!
And to woodworker, I hope you enjoy the title of Patriarch of the Vagabonds! Slim, you will always be our surrogate Patriarch! What wisdom all of you impart to us!
I’ll try to step up if woodworker leaves town, now and then.>>>>>>Re wisdom: I will iterate in the morning, with thanks to my favorite Sci-Fie author, Robert A Heinlein.
