Cathy: To save time and money, I packed a breakfast muffin from home. Ate it while backing out of the driveway. Spurred on by the muffin, I ate my mid-morning snack at the first light...polished off lunch on the freeway... ...And in a final burst of accomplishment, had my afternoon snack in the parking lot! Before walking into the office, I completed all eating due until dinnertime! If my brain responded to motivational tapes the way my stomache does, I'd be a zillionaire.

And, Cathy, you look like you’ve gained three times the pounds that you would ordinarily not do if you rationed out your meals! ;)

If you really want to save time and money, and probably lose some weight too, defer your eating till later rather than doing it all early. It’s a myth that adults need breakfast and certainly don’t need snacks..

West coast is beautiful by train, food is excellent and she is having fun. Space is tighter than a ship. I am trying not to be a grump.

I cannot believe that people are taking this seriously. It’s a comic, folks!

LOL I’ve worked with a lot of nutritionists, and not one has ever suggested that needing breakfast was a “myth”. In fact, the earlier you’re done eating for the day, the better (although you certainly don’t want to do it Cathy-style!) As for snacks? Three small meals and 2-3 snacks a day is proven to be best for most bodies. I’m worried about you, Grimma.

I guess you have to know yourself. I have issues with my blood sugar dropping if I wait too long to eat, so I always eat breakfast. My husband, on the other hand, doesn’t like more than coffee and a toast. Also, if I don’t eat for a while, then I end up eating whatever quick that I can grab, which is usually junky, and that starts a cycle of bad eating until I force myself to stop. I feel better if I eat smaller amounts throughout the day (i.e. snacks), so the 3 meal-a-day thing doesn’t work for me either.hello Cathy clan!

I don’t usually snack but I either eat a light breakfast or an early lunch. My problem is finding time and energy to exercise.

I’m on Weight Watchers — been “at goal” for 5 years and I eat breakfast and numerous snacks during the day.

Oh, for Pete’s sake, Cathy. Have fun waddling into the office today …
Personally, I have to eat three meals a day. They aren’t always at the same time, but without them, I tend to crash.
HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for me…however, if I don’t have a healthy snack before meals, my eating goes downhill rapidly…welcome to the land of Carbs…but they Taste sooo good! The problem being there that they add up…right on my hips! Fortunately, I have an active Irish Setter girl who Must have her daily one-hour walk every day (unless there is a Noah-like deluge going on!). ;)
