Sad, but true. Many expect to be given a lot for nothing. Whatever happened to working hard and being proud of that?Good morning, Cathy clan!! The competition went well – Lil’s squad got 2nd place. My back went out yesterday (and is still hurting), which is why I didn’t come online. Glad to be back (no pun intended)!@ hendelca – Wow!! You have been through (and are still going through), so much!! I’m glad you are feeling better, but it sounds like you still have more fighting to do, so sending lots of strength, healing and hugs your way! Please keep us updated on what’s going on with you!

@GretchensMom, @lindz.coop, @lightenup, and @catsarge Thanks for the good wishes. The prognosis is good for full recovery but it may take up to 2 years. At this point I do not. Care how long – just so long as I am better every day. A little setback over the past two days. Turns out I have an allergy to sulpha drugs which I was taking to prevent lung infections. My head and upper body are still red and giving off lots of heat but it is starting to fade already. My druggist is trying to find an alternative drug – the doctor’s first choice was going to cost me about $2500 above my drug plan which is just a little more than I consider reasonable.

The down side – I had to cancel our family vacation at Disneyland today (

(Continued – still on the stupid iPad)(I actually cried on that call) and looks like we have to postpone our booked tour of Scotland in June since My chemo treatments don’t end until then. In spite of that, I am happy we can still plan for the future!

@anonamouse – If you read this, would it be better to visit your beautiful country in August or September?

Hendelca — again sorry you are going through so much. I too have an allergy to sulfa but they have always been able to find something else that works. I hope you have the same luck. So sorry about the need to cancel travel plans — especially the Scotland tour. I hope you can reschedule for another time.
