‘Another Rod Serling sighting!… …We’ve just crossed over from comic strips to the editorial twilight zone…(Mr. Serling, you really should cut back on those smokes – they’ll be th’ death of you…)
The only way those tea bags would be deployed is if a moving car hit the stationary British car or hit the British car while it was being towed to the shop./former owner of a British Sterling
Oh, where, oh WHERE is Omnius and his appraisal of this commentary? We NEED words like ‘idiot’, ‘tea-bagger’ ‘stupid’ ‘republican’ and other cheap appraisals to keep the place humming..
I loved my 1957 Austin Healy 1600. But it had the worst electrical system in the world. Especially the electronic overdrive which would go out regularly.
In my youthful ignorance, I owned a dark and fearful variety of British engineered autos. Many, spent more time off the road than on it and many were a plumber’s nightmare to repair. My acquisitions included an MG, an MGB, two Truimphs ( a Spitfire and TR6 ), a Jaguar ( Mark2 3.8 ), an original Austin Mini Cooper S, an Austin Princess taxi, and a Land Rover !Like some of the U.K. and Irish women, I have known and loved, those cars were simultaneously a delight to drive and expensive to maintain.
@Sportymonk Ale in Britain is drunk at the same temperature as it is in America. Cellar temp is about 15C and should not be particularly warm (slightly lower than room temperature).
@win Is that comment about leaking oil anything to do with a Korean rig registered in the Marshall Islands and operated out of Houston, Texas? Of course, BP dropped the Amoco half of the name after an oil leak.

If it’s a British car, it’s still in the garage (leaking oil).

Why do Englishmen drink warm Beer?
Because they have Refrigerators with Lucas electronics. (You have to have owned an English car to understand it).

So US cars deploy a coffee bag? A miller shite bag? By the way US in the military stands for unservicable, a coincidence, I think not.

My MGB and Austin Mini are the best…

And they have a positive ground electrical system which seems to blow the minds of most US service techs.
