Just musing on previous comments about Alex’s looks, and Drew’s, and so forth….It’s ironic, isn’t it, that Alex – who still sports a random, untamed hairstyle to go with her complex, zany persona – has won the heart of a simple, and simply good, man. Complete, uncomplicated devotion! And in her own way, she gives every bit as good as she gets. Drew’s “perfect” looks get her a lot of the sort of attention that makes her want to run away. It will be fun to see how long it takes Alex to realize she’s a grownup now, and that it would be okay for her to look like one. Or maybe she’ll always see herself as belonging outside the “norm.” At any rate, she has a great family all around, and the twins will have a rich upbringing, regardless of income.

Leo might have been more diplomatic by saying, “We drew two aces!” But then again, maybe he’s never played poker.

    “Drawing “a deuce” isn’t a bad thing ….”

Trudeau’s maybe staying on script by deliberately drawing him naive. Alex, who’s probably unaware of the Browning’s nickname, seems to have found Leo’s naïveté attractive in earlier strips.

Mike Doonesbury is not going to react well to being a grandfather. He may want Kim to finally have a child, just to prove to him that he’s still “got it”.

The news was pretty sudden about the pregnancy. We had moved on with other stories and then came back to Alex. She must be 4-5 months along or so. They can’t wave at you at the 6 week ultrasound.

@Paula " As odd as it may sound, unusually attractive people often have trouble dating because most of the would-be suitors coming at them in 3D are attracted to them only for their looks – and the completely unrealistic fantasies they attach to them. I’m not surprised Drew has dealt with so much unwanted attention by mostly remaining single."*Yes, indeed! Drew is so much more than the sum of her “parts” – hair, face, figure. Like Leo, she has the quality of simplicity; she’s sweet, kind, and focused on her goal. No drama aside from escaping those stalkers.I think I was in high school when I first read about the loneliness of some super-pretty girls, due to the boys’ assumption that they must already be taken because they’re so pretty. That in itself isn’t a problem for Drew because she isn’t interested in dating right now. And I don’t get any sense from her that she’s a lesbian. She’s just busy!

I find it interesting that the traditionally anti-abortion ideopaths are the ones calling for the twins’ abortion. I guess they do make exceptions, in the case of their targets.

Well, it sounds as if Hillary has put BENGHAZI-GATE in the ground for good, so I guess we won’t be hearing from our resident troll any further. From what I could hear, the republicans were just trying to dirty her up for the 2016 election and, as usual, FAILED.

Anybody here — commenters or lurkers — who would trust their physical bodies to Dr. Tucci, please post: Would you or would you not trust your body to the tender mercies of Dr. Tucci in any matter whatsoever? Eye care? ENT? Skin care? Urology? Gynecology? Pulmonology (respiratory)? Anything at all?

Oh, I’m a lib, and I’m a lefty. So bottom’s up to hope that the 2014 midterm will be a “wave election” — sweeping all the gerrymandering teapartiers outta the House and outta the Senate. So’s Bronco Bama can have an undisputed majority in the House and a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. I know I’m a dreamer. But it’s fun to dream. Once in awhile.
