He should have just done what Marion Jones did: fess up and be done with it. He and Pete Rose both gave their confession and apology far too late for it to be effective.

They also have good recipes to help with various health problems.I was one of Mr. Armstrong’s believers until the evidence grew too great. I even apologized for my misguided support in these forums. However, like the baseball players who used steroids, he deserves to be punished, but the Livestrong Foundation is not Armstrong. He created it, it’s his child, but this child now stands on its own accomplishments and the sins of the father should not be placed on the shoulders of the millions who have benefited from the good Livestrong has done.Respectfully,C.
Oh Clark…Meat eaters are disgusting, all guns should be banned, but a world class athlete who knowingly used banned substances. took unfair advantage over honest racers, and committed fraud should be given a pass? Even though he’s a role model to millions, including children? Notice, I didn’t mention his infidelity.I think we found your ‘soft spot’.Some of my first posts were in avid defense of Mr. Armstrong because he overcame cancer with grace and used his fame to create the amazing Livestrong Foundation. The fact he was famous as a racer was interesting only as I love watching the scenes of Europe and like rooting for the underdogs; the guys in front who set the pace, but almost always fade in the last few minutes. He LIED to the bitter old men, he cheated the sport that made their shriveled parts feel better, and Mr. Armstrong got caught. Too many sports have the attitude of cheat if it makes the sport look good, but don’t get caught. I hadn’t heard there was ever a threat to put Mr. A in jail, but I did hear he wanted them to lift the band on him competing in future sports.I usually agree with your sentiments Mr. Kent, but I suggest you’re mad at the wrong people.Respectfully,C.

Return to the scene of the crime, it is intrinsically wrapped up in the arrogance of power, if that makes sense…I agree with “C” wholeheartedly, his foundation has done immeasurable good and should not be held accountable or in any way complicit for his “other” actions.
