Just who is the “us” that you refer to?

Of course, it is all the extreme right wing ultra conservatives in this country embattled with such!!

Unfortunately for you and yours, not only did the majority of people in this country vote to place President Obama back into office for a second term, they also reduced the Republican majority in the House of Representatives, and even increased the Democrat majority in the Senate, when it was originally thought that the Republicans would take over there as well.

I would say that the ultra right has just about 25% of the voters, the ultra left (who indeed are just as bad in their way as the ultra right) has just about 25%, and the far greater majority of American voters vote towards the middle of the political spectrum (and does NOT vote along party lines).

Further, if the Republican Party continues to bow down to such as the Tea Party, and to do absolutely nothing except hold the government of this country as a hostage to their stupidity, then it is quite possible that in 2014 they may very well become extinct.

To tell even you the truth, I as a relatively middle of the road liberal would actually consider that to be rather sad, to happen to the former party of such as Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, and yes even a relative conservative such as Ronald Reagan.

What is needed is for moderate Republicans to stand up and see to it that a reasonable opposition party that is willing to compromise for the general good of the American people does not perish from the political stream.

But with the kinds of comments that I see on here from others like you, is that even possible?

@ Rightisright – you are on record as saying a revolution is overdue and you are totally uncompromising on any view not your own. You present no compromise in your comments and while I have seen a few of your posts where you show you know how to communicate without venom, it is too rare. You are not “right”. You are simply an extremist who makes moderate conservatives look bad. I would love to see evidence that you are not the hater I perceive you to be. I’ll be happy to apologize if you care to show me your respectful side.@ RobertLanders – A generally good post, but you strayed from your happy place. General Colin Powell was on Meet the Press last Sunday. You might enjoy going on line and watching his interview. You are one of the more objective and reasoned commentators here and I enjoy reading you. Don’t let the trolls bring out the dark side. I need you to set me a good example. ;)@Mickey – Thanks for the grin. Great post.@Radish – Not a gun to the head, just withholding the wallet from reelection coffers. btw, you posted a comment the other day, but I saw it after the cartoon had expired. Thank you for your many reasoned comments.@Michaelwme – that’s the USA bro. We’re givers. :DMy own comment on the toon is that it is a great example of legislation by lobbying. Dems and Repubs have their backers. Write to them and let them know who their voters are, and what we want.Respectfully,C.

I would snicker, but it’s painfully too close to the truth.

If you vote Republican, you’re voting for gun worship. Period.

    “So vote Republican?”

No, I’m a patient Libertarian. Both parties have their Koch brothers, George Soros or some other heavy money calling the shots. No difference in the net result of their actions. Government grows bigger, costs more money, controls more of our lives, regardless of rep or dem.

I thought Al Haig, Edwin Meese, Bob MacFarlane & Caspar Weinberger gave Nixon’s boys a run for the money.

Hmm, Radish, nobody in this country voted for Norquist, La Pierre, or Netanyahu, but you’d think they have more power, especially with the right, than any “normal” citizen in the U.S., left or right.

The Law of Unintended Consequences has been validated. Those who espouse unrestricted access to guns that have no place other than a battlefield make ownership make ownership of weapons to defend themselves against these mentally challanged zealots seem reasonable.
