The real sad situation is the lying and self serving actions of government applies to all of them. I truly don’t see any real difference in the two parties. You can spend days giving examples of either current party lying, abusing their offices, contriving these “crises” to keep the people off balance.
As soon as we leave Afghanistan will revert to it’s traditions of warring among different factions as it has for centuries. And Americans would have died for nothing. Thanks Bush, you Idiot!
Danziger is pretty mainstream as far as political cartoonists go. The “lamestream” media has been reporting on the lack of confidence & trust between the Obama administration & Karzai for years. If you looked at actual news sources, you would know this, but then your conservative echo chamber thinking might be challenged.http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2012/04/18/panetta-on-karzai-trust-but-watch-your-back/http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/world/2009-11-18-karzai-afghanistan_N.htmhttp://in.reuters.com/article/2010/04/08/afghanistan-karzai-relations-idINSGE63709I20100408http://www.upi.com/Top_News/Special/2010/06/14/Trust-deficit-in-Kabul/UPI-19221276532434/

We do not owe them anything. We’ve wasted too much money there. They don’t want us there. Their problems have been ongoing for centuries.
osama bin laden is dead. Any legitimate reason to stay is over.

so your cynicism is total, 360 degrees? My “bugaboo” is authoritarians from either side, butfor fairness, history favors the Democrats.

But Bush’s purpose was to bring down Al Qaida, which is chugging right along. As always, unintended consequences.
