My parents were going to name me George if I had been a boy. Glad I was born a girl. Although I do like George as a girl’s name. Might have something to do with “Nancy Drew.”

My parents were expecting a girl and were going to name me “Nancy.” So I got one of the common boys’ names instead. Oddly enough there was a girl named Nancy in my high school class who even had the same not terribly common last name as me! (And she was no relation either.)

In A Wrinkle in Time, Megatron was one of Meg Murry’s nicknames, along with Meglet and Megaparsec. I suspect that none of those made the short list of Billy’s parents.
