Good morning Vagabonds. I didn’t go to IRS yesterday. Instead I swam in the pool with some New Yorkers who were refugees from “Nemo.”

Hi…I just came back from a shorts & shirt sleeves walk (it’s 78 degrees here in So. Fla.). I watched a middle-age woman with a cane knocked lemons off a tree in front of a vacant “For Sale” home. I walked a mile…not yet feeling up to a my usual 2 miles after a bout with a stomach virus on Super Bowl weekend. However, I am signing up for a 5K walk at the end of March. I hate to “complain,” what with this sunny 78-degree weather, but I wish I was in Haiti (Carnivale!). @dkram: Lorne Greene?

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

dkram: Florchi’s right. Today is Lorne Greene’s birthday. The strip “TrivQuiz” features him today. I do remember his CW song “Ringo”. He did what Rex Harrison pioneered in “My Fair Lady”, he spoke the lyrics instead of singing, but it was well-done and I liked it. (That’s saying a lot, since I really don’t like most CW music.)

The temperature is hovering right around freezing at the moment, but since the sun is barely peeking over the horizon, I expect it will warm up.

My hubby surprised me yesterday by working at home. He took over my desk half of the day and sat in his la-z-boy with the computer on his lap the rest of the time (so I could use the desk for my own work). He’s a programmer and can do it from anywhere as long as he has an internet connection. He’s considering staying home every Monday. Should be an interesting shakedown period.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

It got down to 19 during the night, and is 31 right now. Not bad. I do go out for my walks if it gets near 40……the air is breathable and not too cold if it’s not windy.

We had a news story last night that hackers broke into a daytime TV show with an emergency news bulletin……..something to do with Zombies rising! Jack quickly looked up our homeowners insurance policy to see if we were covered! Too funny!

ZOMBIES: Years ago a friend and I learned the real story about real zombies by reading a book by anthropologist / ethnobtotanist, Wade Davis (“The Serpent and the Rainbow”—a pretty good book that was later made into a pretty bad movie).

@Florchi:Not quite as warm as you are but almost like a spring day. Temp. about 50 and snow has really melted with warm weather and the light rain and fog yesterday. Going to get 1 to 2 inches Wed. night.
