That tank is too small for an angel fish, though it’s a good thing she didn’t get an iridescent shark because even the small ones are a pain.I had one and it kept stealing the food from the other fish until they died, then it died because there was no fish to steal from.

The mouth of an angelfish is too small to eat a guppy.And being a new tank you could presume they are all quite young…

when I was younger, I never knew that aquarium fish ate anything other than flaky “fish food.” Then I went to a store and watched the guy put “feeder” gold fish into the other tanks and all the other fish tore them up and ate them like piranha … I was amazed … course then I started googling all the home videos of guys feeding fish/frogs/etc. to home piranhas and I look at sushi in a different light now … don’t google them unless you have a strong stomach.

My stepbrother had a little aquarium at one point with an angelfish. It ended up eating all the other fish that he had. Seemed fitting. He had named it after his then-girlfriend.
