Remind me, what’s an ide?

There is no singular ide. The ides generally reefers to the middle of the month.

It’s on the 15th in 31 day months, and on the 13th in 30 day months.

What if Jason can’t get that eye off and went to school like that? Freaky.

Well, at least it ain’t the Eye of Sauron…

At least two people know my most favorite science fiction movie. Forbidden Planet.

Ah well, at least Pi Day is coming up — that should make them happy little geeks!

ides of march. a movie with ryan gosling, george clooney, and evan rachel wood.

I just read (true or not true?) that JWB wanted to assassinate Lincoln on the ides of April.

Incidentally, “Ides of March” is but the English-language rendering of the latin Idus Martiae – but today’s strip wouldn’t make sense with that name. Ides of March was also the one hit wonder band that gave us “Vehicle” back in 1970.

I remember when this strip ran the first time. we were going through Shakespeare Julius Caesar .

I don’t know, ‘Eyes of March’ works for me.

My three favorite scifi movies from the 50’s: Forbidden Planet (groundbreaking; Star Trek was heavily influenced by this film); Them! (I like that they used actual physical giant ant effects, and not just opticals); The Thing from Another World (great scene when they douse the Thing with kerosene and set it on fire).

There’s an ides for EVERY month! Sheesh, do you even Latin, bro?
