Good morning, Vagabonds. Saturday was not a very interesting day, although I did organize a corner of my bedroom that is hard to reach. Tomorrow I have a genealogy meeting and then a visit to Vizkaya.

Remember I wrote about the man in Dobruja, Romania who asked me to correct the English in a book he’s writing? I mentioned to him that when I was in Constanta, Rom. about 33 years ago, a Crimean Tatar boy guided me to a guest house run by ethnic Turks. I had taken photos of the boy and told the Romanian author that I wondered what happened to him. He asked me to send the pictures to him by email.

Well, yesterday, while searching through my hundreds of slides, I found 3 pictures I had taken of the boy. I need to enlarge them, but I can’t find a photo place that enlarges slides to prints. However, I put the slides against the screen of my laptop and photographed the slides so the Romanian author would get some idea of what he looks like. I imagine the “boy” is now in his fifties and wouldn’t it be great if the author knows him!

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Just stopping by to say “Hi”. We’re leaving within the hour.

Arye…..before digital cameras, all we shot were slides. Go to any pharmacy that processes pictures, and they can print a slide and enlarge it. We used Costco for that.

It’s a very nice day here today – upper 60’s with a light wind. The rain is all gone and everything looks clean and green.
