BENITIN Y ENEAS: That “referee” doesn’t seem that impartial.

Good morning, Villagers. I just posted on email some photos of a restaurant in Merida that serves Yucatecan food and is owned by a Turkish friend of mine who has lived in Merida for over 20 years. Note the embroidery on the blouse of the hostess; it’s typically Mayan. Don’t ask me what the food is – I’m a fussy eater and I only had a delicious tuna sandwich today, followed for supper by a dish of refried beans and a canataloupe milkshake.

@FLORCHI: I sent the email of the pictures to everyone whose email address I have; if you know of people in our group who have my email address, you can send me your email, if you want, to them so I may forward the photos to you also.

Today I plan to visit 2 Yucatecan families I know.

Good morning Arye and Slim and all who are to come.

Slim, yesterday you remarked that you enjoy your own company and don’t mind solitude. It also helps to have this forum and your Facebook friends online. Social interaction without the germs.

It’s bedtime here. See ya in the morning.

Three or for years ago, one of the HMO company came here during the monthly “health” get togethers we used to have. There talk was on cold and the flue’ A lot of residents showed up.They asked if anybody knew of a way to prevent catching those illnesses.I raised my arm, then said “Avoid gatherings” :-).

Slim, you sound as if I would like to be your neighbor. I always appreciate a good laugh.

I found out this afternoon the literal meaning of “bust your butt”. I did one of those backpedaling feet, windmill arms classic land on your butt falls, complete with smacking the back of my head against the front of my car. I am grateful for that car being there, if not I would have smacked my head into the driveway pretty hard. I’m not sure whether or not I was glad of no spectators. I felt really dumb, but if I had been really hurt (which I am not) I would have wanted someone there to help. No major damage, but man am I sore and probably will be for a few days.
