What a slander! It’s the elephants who want to subsidize their businesses by keeping employees on the public dole and dependent on Medicaid for health care. Then they can be properly threatened and cowed if they ask for things like decent pay or working conditions.

I’m just hoping to see ‘Affordable Care Act’ more than I see ‘Obamacare’.

when I was married at the age of 18 in 1950s, I doubt the sex revolution promoters could find many Doctors or Medical schools that believed that “health care” included federally mandated employer paid provision of contraceptives and abortives or abortions.-God will Judge those who have turned America into Sodom.

God did not destroy Sodom because of contraceptives (or so-called “Sodomy.”) He destroyed Sodom because they refused to take care of the poor. Get your bible stories right.

Hobby Lobby pays their employees well and provides health care in, including contraceptives. The only thing they are objecting to is paying for morning after pills, because they believe that they could cause an abortion. Whether you’re drawing a comic, or commenting on one, you should know the facts.

    Facts rarely impress Libs…

Or the first amendment as it applies to people acting on their christian consciences…

“Judge for yourselves whether it is better to obey God or man.”

@Rodney.I have studied the KJB with other versions since 1960.Gen.19:4-9= “the men of Sodom…encompassed (Lot’s house)…and they called to Lot, and said..where are the men which came to thee this night? bring them out unto us that we may know them”….The act of sodomy was the desire of the Sodomite men, and Lot offered his daughters instead but the Sodomites wanted the men, who were God’s Angels, who came to save Lot and his family).-Deut.23:17 (God’s Law) “there shall be no (prostitute) of the daughters of Israel, NOR A SODOMITE of the sons of Israel.”Romans 1:27 describes the activity of sodomy…v.28 (due to the fact that..) “they did not like to retain God in their knowledge”…so God gave them over to a reprobate mind…to await judgment….men “who knowing the judgment of God, that they which do such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”-Liberal apostate Christianity teaches such things as Sodom was destroyed because they did not aid the poor, which is not the Biblical reason. God allows persons, cities and nations a period of time to repent of gross sins, and then God has punished the guilty, all through the Bible and all through human history.

Lot’s wife of course merely acted upon perfectly human curiosity to see what happened to the folks her husband offered her daughters to, and was of course turned into a pillar of salt for being a curious female.

First, a company cannot have an ethical opinion and must obey the Federal government mandate. After all, it is a company and not an individual.

What is next? Will places of worship be treated as institutions and not individuals and forced to obey Federal mandate as well?

I think the goal of Obama, and many Liberals, is quite clear now and their answer to the second question is a resounding YES.

I can’t prove I have a God. It is a matter of faith. Believe or not, that’s your choice.

It’s about that “commerce clause” in the Constitution, and being a licensed interstate corporation, as opposed to “individual”. Now, religion IS based on faith, while government in the U.S. is based on law, and logic. Faith is fine, but can’t impose on logic, that’s what Article Six, and the Second Amendment are all about.

I’ve done some reading on various health care systems around the world. What is noteworthy about the German system is that it is the first universal health care system in the world, having been in existence since 1883 when Otto von Bismarck implemented the Sickness Insurance Law. Thus, universal health care in Germany has survived 130 years and massive political turmoil, suggesting Germans must like their health care system..Otto von Bismarck was the first “iron chancellor” who brought a number of Germanic territories together to form the German empire. Bismark has been described as a crotchety, tax averse, right-wing aristocrat, who ironically is responsible for modelling a number of social programs for the masses. He had this quaint notion that a healthy nation with good health care was a stronger nation with more productive factories and more powerful military. He also held that social programs such as workman’s compensation, old age security, and universal health care are more likely to bind the country together into one cohesive entity. Many also gave Bismark credit for having christian charity, and believing that caring for the masses was just the right thing to do. .Americans struggling to implement a universal health care system that other advanced nations have had for decades might take note..Morty, how do you like your system? My reading indicates that the German model is one of the more comprehensive systems in the world. It is also one of the more expensive, taking about 11% of GDP. This is expensive by world standards, but not nearly as expensive as the U.S. that takes 17% of GDP but does a poor job of covering the masses.

Canuck, FYI one dictionary meaning of “tyrant” is=“one who uses power or authority harshly”….another meaning is “a ruler who governs oppressively”…and Obama fits that description, especially against the Catholic Church which is objecting to the immoral mandates in Obamacare, and the individual Christians who own businesses and are suing in court for “waivers” such as Obama has given hundreds of his political friends.-The 1st amendment right to express religious convictions/beliefs is for citizens, not “churches”….although the Founders intended protection for all religious people and organizations from the interference of government….@Rodney.-@Kamwick….Deut. Law was not in force until after the days of Moses….Lot lived long before the Law was encoded. And I did not say and the Bible did not say it was “perfectly fine” for Lot to offer his daughters to save the Angelic visitors….I suspect Lot knew the homosexual men were not interested in any women….

It depends on your definition of proof – if you mean theoretically , like the scientific explanation for “evolution”; yes. But If you mean can I produce Him for you to physically touch and examine ; probably not.

Tyranny is what happens AFTER a Lib wins an argument or is elected to office: you lose some or all of your rights.
