Wuss. He could have turned it another 15, 20 degrees and it would still have been facing the street.

In high school Arlo probably showed his independence by driving through yellow traffic lights just as they turned red.

Aaron, Bagbalm, How many people today remember what the “Redcoats” were coming for when they marched on Concord and Lexington?General Thomas Gage was sent to Boston to disarm the colonists and arrest the leaders of the rebellion, namely John Hancock and Samuel Adams. We may have to rebel against a tyrannical government again, and a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed

Ha! I totally understand Arlo’s (albeit small) act of defiance against arbitrary, capricious, annoying as hell “edicts” like these. It is just plain obnoxious, and even though Arlo has technically complied, his minor act of defiance gives him a sense of fighting against the stupidity.

Very good Chaz, and very true. I want to warn the UN and the federal tyrants who try to disarn Americans that they too will lose their lives. Their ivory towers and blue helments will not keep them safe.

To help keep costs down., we now have the same mechanized collection system in our City, I didn’t like it at first either. But it’s easy to adjust. Watch, by Friday Arlo will be complaining that the neighbors aren’t doing it correctly.

This is no longer just about gun control. We cannot let one man change our Bill of Rights. He has overstepped his authority, and upset the “balance of power”.

This isn’t rebellion, it’s an adolescent snit. A real rebel would want to make the job easier for people who do this kind of work.

I agree phritzg. It’s sad when someone punishes the workers for a policy they had nothing to do with creating and implementing. Customer Service agents get it all the time with people screaming at them over corporate policies. A very immature and sad thing to do.

They used to have 3 guys, one to drive and two to wrestle the cans and dump them into the back of the truck. Now it is just one guy and the lift grabs and raises the container and holds it upside down to dump into the top. If they are turned the wrong way, trash could fall out on the street. If he has to get out of the truck to move many of the containers, it will slow him down and then he might not get to my trash. If the lift can still grab the container, ok, but when people insist on putting it in the wrong place or turned the wrong way they deserve to get theirs left behind that week. I feel for their neighbors.

You love your damn assault weapons so much, then go shoot each other and leave to rest of us to live in peace. Privately owned assault weapons . . . It’s just a “Ha ha, mine is bigger than yours,” thing. Here’s an idea, sell your assault weapons for scrap, and by a Ferrari. It means the same thing . . . Sensible hunting weapons are one thing, but . . .

I don’t give a rat’s behind about about what was said and meant in the Second Amendment. I would like to think the human race has evolved some over the past 200 years, and that original concepts would be updated to fit the circumstances of that time. Children are dying TODAY over issues that were unfathomable then. Using a law that that was written about muskets to justify an AK or an Uzi? Do you need to put 30 bullets into one person, in a couple of seconds to “protect” yourself? Is everyone who prefers assault weapons that BAD OF A SHOT? You guys a so full of crap. "With guns we are “citizens” . . . ? Yeah, we’re also targets. Will a ban on assault weapons, TOTALLY STOP these kinds of insane acts? No, I’m not naive. But anything, ANYTHING, that slows or hinders in any way, the nutcases from getting them is a CHANCE to find out they’re nutcases BEFORE they get there hands on one! This is supposed to be a civilized society. I’ve had weapons on and off. It’s not like I’m totally against firearms of all kinds. But, I don’t support using insane tactics to defend myself against insane people. In the Grand Scheme of things, everyday, with or without weapons, you have a 50-50 chance of seeing tomorrow.Everyone is SO DAMNED DETERMINED, to live in an “I’m right, you’re wrong,” society that it has been forgotten there is ALWAYS a REASONABLE middle-ground. But no, that would mean BOTH sides would have to admit they were wrong to some degree. THIS, AS LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS WORLD, IS NOT ALL OR NOTHING, IF YOU CHOOSE TO RISE UP FROM SELFISH PETTINESS.
