I’m with Nate here. Why should he be the only one who feels lousy? If the love of my life was getting relocated to another city across the country, I’d want every one to know how badly I was feeling. When I was about 10 my parents were discussing moving to New Zealand. I was REALLY upset over that. Now I’m thinking, “What an adventure.”

Definitely not only in a comic strip, my 13 year old son loves being the bearer of bad news, especially if the bad news is for his sisters.

I agree with Suzanne. Artur should have known earlier before Jenny told him. Nate and Artur are gonna need a lot of comfort before she moves.

Also, I read the comments from yesterday and today, about what non-graceful people did………………………………………………………………………………………….. Can we please keep our comments closer to the comic, or can you agree or disagree, and give the reasons of it WITHIN the comic. Gocomics gives us this privilege to do this, and we waste it. Soon, we won’t be able to comment and meet new friends. And it might be because of one of us. Let’s try to keep our comments on this comic, and then we won’t get in trouble.

I’ve been laying off this thread because hey, families move. Kids transfer schools all the time. Nate will get over it. As adults, we’re saying this not because we don’t understand, but because we DO understand.

Artur’s father is a professor, and certainly a faculty position at UDub or even Seattle U. is a possibility. Artur zipping offcamera could be him going to tell Jenny they won’t have to break up after all.

Nate makes a good point. But look at Artur’s eyes in the second panel!

I would have had Nate say “He didn’t get his news worse than I got mine – at least Jenny still likes him!”
