Good morning, Vagabonds. After finishing a 377-page book in 4 days [David, I’m not such a fast reader, I just read into the wee hours of the night, something you’ll be able to do once you’re retired] leaves a strange void, even though I have a lot of newspaper/magazine articles that I must read so I can dispose of them.

Yesterday, I again swam for an hour without touching any surfaces. People are commenting that I appear a little slimmer, so I must continue with what I’m doing. I do reward myself with an off-diet icecream, but it’s taking me almost 2 weeks to finish the 1/2 gallon of it I have in my freezer.

Today I will go to a senior citizen lecture on identity theft. I plan to raise a question about tearing up statements (I don’t have a shredder) and putting them in the same bag as my banana peels etc. and send send them down the chute in the recycling closet. Is it risky?

Hi there Vagabonds..Well, they might slip into the wrong hands. (sorry ’bout that) ;-).Very windy yesterday, and we lost power at about 4:30. Got it back around 6:30.That was quick considering the lines run through alot of woods in the aria. The average is 3 hours to restore power. Our electricity was originaly the REA witch was part of the Roosevelt alphabet administration whitch with support of the Grange brought electricity to farmers and rural townships..Have fun all..ttfn

    Good Morning, Everyone,

I learn something new each day I read the comments! dkram………Rural America wins again.

Arye, you have to let us know what the answer to your question turns out to be. I’m sure it will be “yes”. Have you thought of going “paperless” and handle everything over the internet? No statements to shred.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Arye: Take a look at the statement. Some of them don’t list the account numbers at all (such as American Express). If it does, then use scissors to cut out most or all of the account number then dispose of the little snips separately.

Continuing nice weather here. Mid-to-high sixties in the daytime and low 40’s at night. Not bad considering a couple of weeks ago those figures were 15 degrees lower.
