Cable and lock instead of ribbon would also help. Even in ‘Nam, at “base camps”, they locked up the rifles because to many idiots and crazies were discharging firearms at their fellow “good guys”. Amazing isn’t it, that the Army in a combat zone knew more about weapons than the NRA?
Theopolis- where do you keep your gun when you are at home? Locked up in a safe so your kid can’t get at it? Good luck getting to it if someone knocks down your door. Or maybe you wear it 24/7, even to bed, just in case. Suggestion: get a holster, strap it to the inside of your upper thigh so it can be nice and close to another useless part of your anatomy.
Or, and just a crazy thought, spray them with hornet spray!-——————————(Note: For the sake of convenience, I have equated “hornet” and “wasp” because the products are similar.).The following link contains the following:1) U.S. residents tempted to avail themselves of this Internet-recommended self-defense option by stockpiling wasp spray would do well consider that federal law prohibits the use of any pesticide “in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.” Likewise, some states forbid carrying substances for self-protection that aren’t specifically authorized for that purpose.2) How reliably wasp and hornet sprays would actually work as a deterrent against human assailants is bound to vary, however, given differences in formulation and the fact that they weren’t made specifically for that purpose in the first place.3) …[N]o one has ever tested or documented the effectiveness of insecticide sprays for self-defense. .Here’s the hyperlink:Self Defense with Insect Sprays
Lapierre had a perfectly workable solution to the problem of gun violence in schools. Just put in enough armed guards to handle the situation. I estimate the average school would require about 10 armed guards to cover all of the doors.Where would we get the money to pay them? No problem, just tax each sale of weapons or ammunition enough to cover their salaries. That wouldn’t just cut down considerably on the sale of guns, it would be a big help in finding work for returning vets.If you’re wondering if I’m serious or this is satire— frankly so am I.
