http://odb.org/Christmas Day, A Message From GodHebrews 1:1-9=God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son……

(From Our Daily Bread, a daily devotion I have trusted as Manna from Heaven my entire adult life as faithful to Scripture in the publishing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.)

OK, I have to say something since it appears no one else has noticed. The picture is also the face of Jesus. The bowed heads of Mary and Joseph are His eyes. The shading (or whatever it is) over the manger is His mustache. The clothes around Baby Jesus is His mouth and the manger itself is His “soul patch.” Squint a little bit and it’s easier to see. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all and may all come to a knowledge of the Truth.

siegfrie, don’t miss the Crown of Thorns on Jesus’ head.He is God the Son of the Triune God, and the Father, Son and Holy Spirit planned the atonement for the sins of Adam’s race before earth was created…..The Cradle in the Manger—(not in a Palace)..led to the Cross, for us to have the opportunity to put Faith in Him, to be given God’s gift of eternal life with Him, who was Resurrected after 3 days in the tomb, and after 40 days ascended to His home in Heaven, awaiting His planned Coming Again as King of Earth.

“Sermon on the Mount”, some pretty good statements and advice. But it’s important to note what he said next: “I come not to bring peace to the world, but a sword . . .” Which meant “my way or the highway”, and most “Christian” (and Jewish, and Muslim as well) sects have seen to it that the sword has always held power over “turn the other cheek” or “love thy neighbor”.

The New Testament really didn’t change things much from the Old Testament, where any violation of their “laws”, brought the death penalty, even to the masses.

Rabbi Jesus was teaching Kingdom standards in the Sermon on the Mount….the 1,000 year Kingdom promised with Jesus the Messiah of Israel ruling earth from David’s restored throne in Jerusalem, the earth’s capital. Then, Satan’s evil influences on mankind will be blocked, and the “turning the other cheek” and “love thy neighbor” will be the prevalent culture around the world. Those rules are Personal, not meant for present-day governments under the strong influences of Satan and all his demonic angels. -Mickey is right about these current times, the believer with Faith in Jesus is a spiritual warrior wearing the helmet of salvation and our weapon is the spiritual Word of God, the “sword of the Spirit” which is able to discern men’s heart beliefs and able to draw seekers to Jesus for salvation. The spiritual warfare begun by Satan in Eden is more severe against Christians today….there are more martyrs to the faith now than at any time since the First Church (100% Jewish) at Jerusalem in the book of Acts became the target of persecution by unbelievers and the Empire of Rome.

“His quote:” From Our Daily Bread, a daily devotion I have trusted as Manna from Heaven my entire adult life as faithful to Scripture in the publishing the Gospel of Jesus Christ."*Geesh Doc, first off you left off part of the quote. secondly isn’t that a bit cynical? He’s just expressing his belief that his faith has provided for him his whole life, nothing about how holy he is, comparing himself to others or his life after death. I agree bringing up religion of any kind on this website is dangerous, but it’s Christmas, cut him a little slack…

If not shouting about it here or on street corners, where else is Disgusted supposed to brag about how holy she is? In her closet? Matt 6:5-6

“The reason for this visceral rejection of Jesus as God goes well beyond just these elitists’ gross misrepresentation of the First Amendment’s establishment of religion language into something the Founders never intended: turning barring a state-sponsored religion into a state-sponsored barring of religion.”(quote from an article “An Elite That Still Reject Him”…at http://spectator.org….12/24/12, printed 3 pages)-God bless you Anthony, I love satire and irony but you and Canuck go over the line in condemning my posting motives.Jesus commanded all believers to be witnesses to society about Him and the Gospel message to all humans on earth.I am age 80, a great-grandmother and I cannot go out on the street corners to hand out printed literature. Part of my witness is using the internet, and I think my posts are not harmful as many use the internet for. If you scorn my posts, why bother reading them?

I also find it interesting that whenever “fundamentalists” find what they believe in the bible, it is “literally the word of God”, but whenever it displays horror, greed, and pure evil, like the Old Testament Kings, or New Testament fury against anyone who doesn’t accept Jesus, it’s “metaphor”.

Does anyone know if the December 25 drawing, depicting Jesus from manger to cross, available as a print? I would love to have it hanging in my house. It is a powerful reminder of what He did for me.
