Something is obviously encrypted in this strip. An inside joke perhaps.

I don’t get it either. I get the joke about the credit card, but what are the duct tape and dental floss for?

Why am I thinking there is an ADULT inside joke or hidden meaning here and you will have to be over 21 to go to that party.

No inside joke here (or “adult” joke sheesh!) – this is a classic trope of one character, passing by the other characters, bringing or in this case leading a bunch of miscellany items without an explanation of how the items will be used. The joke is in the other characters’ reaction. The wizard has the right idea, he should make sure to bring his wife but leave Henry, the dragon, at home.

If someone is careless with a match there will be elephant steak for all.

I think the joke is centered on replacing “dental floss” for “baling wire”! These are the only tools a repairman (or in this case, a party guy) needs! The fireworks are a given. (It used to be: You can fix anything with a roll of duct tape and some baling wire.)

I was just thinking that they forgot the live chicken and the weed-eater. Just saying. ;=)

The funniest part of the strip was spook asking the guard who he was going to kiss.
