Israeli civilians are only allowed to carry handguns with a 50 round lifetime limit. BUT…off duty soldiers openly carry their assault rifles with them everywhere and are required to by law.
I think every President who has ever had to deal with the aftermath of one of these shootings has the feeling this cartoon conveys. The most powerful man in the world, able to bring death and destruction on civilizations, and he can’t protect the children of his own nation. Whether the Tower Sniper in Texas back in ’66, the Columbine shootings in 1999, or last week, too many powerful people have been powerless in the face of these hopeless pathological killers.It is a grim picture and one I do not envy a President, Governor, or Mayor. Be it in the US, Israel, or Palestine, innocent children are dying because of the sins of adults. Wake up and end the madness.
