I am grateful for all the bowl games. Pretty soon there won’t be much on except the NBA until baseball starts again.

I’m with Arlo. I’ve lost all interest in collage football. The old system was much better. It was more fun to argue about which team was the best in the Nation.

And all of the bowl games should be over by January 2.

Ain’t nothin’ like watchin’ a 7-5 team playing a 6-6 team (that has long ago fired it’s head Coach) in the “Consolation Bowl” or the “Endless Sponsorship Opportunity Bowl” put up a totally useless and skill-less game……..and there are quite a few of them this year. .Drain another one Arlo…..it’s NYD and you’re not going anywhere..Happy New Year to all and may we all get as lucky as Arlo in 2013.

…and now we have a bowl where a team with a LOSING record (GT-6-7) beat USC Monday.

Most of the games are on ESPN and the once-major broadcast networks push reruns and feel-good nonsense retrospectives. Comics are better, even reruns!

Well said, until they set up a system like March Madness the national champion will remain a joke. Too bad money rules.

It’s a mens dominated world. All we ladies are off today, too. Why can’t they show shows that we have to miss while we work? Not only soaps, I quit those long ago, but others, The Talk, The Doctors, game shows, etc.

I wouldn’t go as far as Ghost01, above, but it has seemed ridiculous to me for years that (since the Heidi fiasco) sports preempt everything on TV, and nothing ever seemed to preempt sports. Apparently the latter is no longer absolutely true, since we recently had an example of a presidential news conference accomplishing the seemingly impossible.

Back home, we had the Toilet Bowl, no kidding.
