Someone is shooting back at Broadway? Ok, we never see Cinn Knight, or Tracy….so…. could it be bullets being deflected and sent back towards the villains by a ricochet?Sounds like it could be MM….or the MM clone, rather.

Real cowards, aren’t they? Apparently NOT professional hit men, just small time crooks doing it for the money????

Hard to say yet, but I fear Belle’s a goner. The look on her face in panel 2 isn’t conclusive, but considering the bullet paths in panel 1 are pointed at her, it looks to me like she’s been hit.

I agree, Gweedo. If Moon Maid was intervening I think we’d be seeing lightning bolts.

Uzis are very low powered sub machine guns. They shoot plain old 9MM Parabellum rounds.

I fear the Belle did take at least one hit, that is not a nice look on her face in panel two.

I wonder if David called the PD, and the Black Piranha is really Liz, and the third “costume” is Sam in the CK outfit?

Just wish the Sunday strip was up yesterday. But seeing glorious Black and White? Totally makes up for it.

It appears to me that BP is using her body as a shield for Belle.

The Black Piranha keeps her cool under pressure, possibly saving Belle. An unseen helper answers the gun play, frightening the thugs. Good action and well done, Team Tracy. Black and White works for me.

So you are inside an armored car with someone shooting at you. How do you plan to be “outta here”? Not like there is a back door. Or to you plan to run towards the gunfire to get out of car? Not to smart. (But then if they were smart they would not be henchmen….).And still waiting to see who the third costume is from yesterday. Glad to see the BP and Willa have survived longer than I feared they might yesterday. (It is true that on the application to be a henchman you have to certify that you are a bad shot as well as an idiot???)

Broadway Bates’ activities seem mostly ideological against “costumes”. I do not see how this escapade furthers his counterfeitting plan nor do I see what benefit Bates gets out of this other than gunning down some cosplayers who may or may not have been a threat to him. It seems that his hate for “costumes” overshadows his desire to enrich himself (he has no money because his brother is paying for everything as stated by him on 12/13 when he called up the “Henchman Temp Agency?”). It also overshadows any love or attraction he has to his long-time loyal moll, Belle.

He is fanatic in his ideology and heartless in its execution.

Did anyone realize that we’ve actually seen Moon Maid since we last saw Lizz?

A lot of interesting speculation among the comments today—Lizz as Black Piranha, Sam (!) as Cinnamon Knight, etc. Truth is, I have no idea who’s shooting back at those cheap henchmen. And, I’d prefer to see the strip in color….I’m eager to see how the new year begins in Tracytown!

WAIT A MINUTE!! i just noticed that the gunshots in panel three match the “sound” of the one in panel TWO.. so whoever shot in panel TWO didnt shoot at Belle and Steph, they began opening fire on broadway and his henchmen!

Gotta wonder if Broadway’s brother Ozzie has intentionally hired 3rd rate gunmen for the job as a way to get back at B’way. After all, B’way is making his brother an accessory to his crimes while trying to stick Ol’ Oz for all the expenses.
