Second batch of the white stuff fell last night but you can still see most of the ground. It is mainly on the sidewalks.

It is not supposed to be cold in this desert, however, it is. Elsie, I am currently experiencing an envy right now….. wishing I were in Tulum (or any place in the Yucatan or Carib) enjoying my coffe.

Here in Darkest Saskatcnewan, winter thunder can interesting when it’s snowing and below -18ºC. Yesterday, the morning temperature was -29C, today it’s -19C, and on Tuesday the high is predicted to be +2ºC. Then back down to -18 on Wednesday. And we had more snow in our first storm in November thn we got during all of winter ‘11/’12.

It’s almost the middle of January. Stand by for the January thaw, usually about the third week or so. Then it goes back to snow, ice, and cold for the miserable month of February, and the miseable month of March.
Well, maybe I shouldn’t say “miserable.” But Spring is still a long way off.
