It IS beyond my comprehension how anyone (even someone that is either a hardened criminal or mentally deficient in some other way) could possibly kill such innocents as small children are. Even in savage nature the animals will die to protect their young.
How many people are you prepared to lock up because you think they look weird? Do you believe that locking people up because you think they look weird is the American Way? So long as the guns are protected by the Constitution, I guess it’s okay to lock up all the people who look weird.
heard on the news, that some anti-gun control advocate says that they don’t know enough details. one detail is that he killed his mother, took her guns, went to an elem school, and began shooting, killed kids and teachers and himself. what more details do you need?
since friday, we had shots fired at a mall parking lot in CA, thwarted school shooting in OK, shootouts with police in AL. what is the saying about 3s?
I just love it when these freedom loving conservatives who think the government is too intrusive want to lock up everyone who doesn’t think — or look — just like them.
now, another thwarted school shooting attempt….indiania man had 47 guns and threaten a school. can we at least have one day(24 hours) of no shootings in this country?
I thought it was God who is going to decide just who gets to Heaven, not you nor anybody else here. Perhaps God might even prefer an honest atheist over a dishonest so called Christian. I have seen you post some very nasty things here that quite frankly do not agree with the teachings of Christ in any way.
In fact, the heart of his teachings was kindness, love and compassion, (especially for those worse off than those he was teaching) traits that are generally liberal traits of those bleeding heat liberals!!
Mr. Ima, you don’t have to listen to atheists in the first place, if your faith is strong, that is. So heaven is a place where you are never challenged?
Dianne Feinstein’s bill is the right idea, but the wrong solution. There is no point in outlawing guns. They are out there, there are millions, they are made of metal and will last for a thousand years if they are kept oiled. Failing that, I could find materials in my basement that would produce a workable gun, and it doesn’t take much knowledge of the subject to figure out how to do it.
Bullets, on the other hand, are time consuming to make and require specific equipment. Production of enough to do serious damage would require planning and patience that are not characteristic of those who shoot up elementary schools. And, working on such a project might attract the attention of someone sane.
Bullets can be individually stamped, and their sale can be registered, so that every bullet can be traced back to the person who purchased it. This way, a guy who wants to buy a couple boxes of bullets to go shoot deer, or the woman who wants a box to keep with the gun in her bedside drawer, won’t set off any warning bells. But the guy who is buying an arsenal will attract attention before he finds a more lethal way to do it.
One individual kills 27 kids and adults and then himself. End of story. Any extrapolations – including Obama’s (the God Man) aren’t appropriate at this time.

So they’re in a “better place”? How pathetic. And how American. How typical that this does happen in America – over and over and over again.

Well said. A lot of people seem to be using that as the alternative to sensible gun laws.

This is such a great cartoon. Is there a Pulitzer or other recognition for cartoons?

You forgot to draw the straight jacket that this guy belonged in. Maybe that would have prevented this?
