Pubic affection is my life, even if the Red Cross keeps insisting that I’m a type “O”.

PICNIC: This is related to the 1D10T error code or the PEBKAC error (problem exists between keyboard and chair.) Far, far too common, I fear me.

PDAs are gross and icky: a college instructor friend just yesterday was lamenting the students publicly groping each other in her class. But typos are even more delicious, because I can put on my Grammar Police uniform and harass the innocent!

If you follow up on the material on Horseshit magazine, something really unprecedented, you’ll be impressed with the power of individual creativity. AND it’s grammatically and typologically more accurate than this sentence.

I love public displays of affection. Especially if I am the one being affected.

I think that the Make Love Not War photo would be more to the point if the man was on top. As it is it suggests something more like Make Hugs Not War!

I beleive that “noicantspell” should be used as an authority for this discussion…….but you are right. I also had a male English teacher that stressed Punctuation as well; he would get a correction from grading papers.

I had to mention a typo to the receptionist at the doctor’s on a prominently placed sign at her desk. “While your waiting free facials are available” She just said she had not written it, but I wouldn’t want to display it, just sayin’ and I did not have one.

I was thinking about the stack of decorating magazines on my kitchen counter- I’d love to find a place that would use them for something. My huge library of sci-fi paperbacks is long gone (in the 1950s) but I have a few that are only a year or so old (got a whim to reread a few and bought at either Amazon or Alibris. I often buy used books too if the new are too $$ or out of print.

I haven’t found any information on the Soviet snipers on the blog; the original photo has vanished from zarodinu1’s Flickr photostream. But as can be seen from the pictures on these two pages:

    http://tinyurl.com/cxznquw

the Red Army used a huge number of women snipers, and they were quite effective. (Something like two hundred thousand Soviet women received combat medals during that war.)

Re: ControlsThe SM-85A/UPM-70, Radar Test Set, 1 each, is the sort of WWII electronic surplus junk that I enjoyed tearing apart when I was a kid… exquisitely expensive as all military equipment was and full of tiny vacuum tubes trying to do the job of a couple of today’s digital IC’s. Perhaps that explains my current choices in toys… Just one of the machines in the corner of my play desk here has more controls and indicators than that and even more flashing lights and mystery displays. Alas! Surplus electronics stores are all but a thing of the past going the way of used book stores (which I miss even more).

Re: GERMAN EXPRESSIONISTSI know censorship is generally bad, but when discussing the art that Germany banned in the 30’s, we should also talk about the art that it promoted, which was as aesthetic as the the great arts of the classical periods.

You know, Teresa’s creativity, intellect and “quirkiness” (I tried to be gentle) have provided many hours of enlightened entertainment over the years, and the output of the research staff at Frog, Inc. is incredibly prolific.

Case in point: FB introduced me and the rest of Frog Nation to the word ”Sapiosexual,” which ”I Have A Crush” instantly brought to mind.

As I have said many times before, that nighthawks is a lucky lucky man.
