Comparing the US to any of the nations chained to the Euro shows a stunningly ignorant view of economics.

I think his point is that alot of the arguments for Obamacare (and other government handouts) centered around “this or that country has it” and ignoring the huge tax rates inflicted upon their people that will soon be inflicted upon us.

    1. Obama did not get a MANDATE….it was a slim % majority vote by the people….2.8% more votes counted for Obama.-2. The battery is Obama’s Folly….electric car in the ’toon.-3. Obama is the driver and he is trying to get to the same Cliff along with the European states socialism failures.

braindead, rise from your grave!the Bok cartoon shows Obama driving his electric vehicle with passengers representing congress, D and R, helpless in the back seat…..license tag “MANDATE”…..and I am age 80 grandmother watching news daily….democrats are definitely claiming Obama and Democrats in the senate got a MANDATE from the voters…..some elected dems have said so also. They are trying to hold the election results as a threat to the GOP members of congress to get democrat’s one-sided legislation passed.(and if GOP senators and representatives cave and vote with the dem’s bills, I won’t miss them if a Meteor falls on the D.C. capitol buildings.)

I believe there is a mandate to have the Bush tax cuts expire for the wealthy — not the same thing as Obama claiming a mandate to do whatever he wants.-I’m guessing that you believe that expiration of those cuts is ‘one-sided legislation’. All Republicans that I’ve seen, state that Bush tax cuts for the middle class should be kept. So why do they refuse to vote for keeping that cut without extracting a price? Is it not worthwhile by itself?

No, of course not. You’ve got to threaten to raise all taxes in order to force the tax cuts for the rich. Tax cuts for the rich are more important than America itself to those bozos. Drown the country in a bathtub if you have to, but give us our free stuff!
