I knew I was starting to age when an old student of mine asked, “Teacher, what’s an eight-track?”

I hate those commercials for some tv where the little kid says “Back in my day”. The kid hasn’t even had a ‘day’ yet!

I record on a TEAC V-8030S cassette deck with metal tape and dolby S and will put it up against any digital recorder in a contest.

Still have my bright yellow Sony Walkman. Not going to change the tapes to CDs. The Walkman works fine. As does the iPod.

Still using the RCA VCR I bought in ‘88 with my tax refund. It has buttons for almost all the functions and I prefer that.I’ve been slowly recording my record collection onto CDs. The tapes have held out well after some 35 years too but several were ruined by players that stopped functioning correctly. Replacing the drive belts seems to be a hassle to the younger generation repairmen.I never got where I am by throwing things out that could be fixed.
