This is why the US military has to redesign how they respond to this new face of ‘war’. The US military was designed to go toe to toe with other tanks, aircraft, and ships. These “freedom fighters” feel free to go into people’s apartments to fire their weapons then flee. When the family in the apartment die in the resulting return of fire, the terrorists decry the aggression of the military attacking them. The hypocrisy is heart rending.House to house fighting is always going to be deadlier than a battlefield. We need to make sure our warriors are trained and equipped to the highest standard. And we need to respect and appreciate them for being wiling to fight this way. But more than anything else, our leaders need to be certan that when we do send Americans into combat, it is for a real and achievable reason. Respectfully,C.
what the palestinians are doing WOULD be a war crime if they were at war. only a nation/“STATE” can be at war. this is the game they are playing.
palestine does not want to be a state, because then they would have to play by the rules.
the two state solution is just a continuation of the fantasy of the west with respect to the arab concept. if any of you here would read the PLO charter and osama bin ladens fatwah, you would understand that the arabs do NOT recognize the national boundries, or as osama bin laden put it, “paper statelets” contrived by the west.
you would also realize that the USA is doing exactly what osama bin laden says in his fatwah, and that he helped put in play.
not everyone thinks like a westerner. just because we drew lines on a map for another culture, doesn’t mean they recognize them, want to recognize them, or even understand them.
