Speaking of “main-stream media”, why is it everybody knows who Bill O’Reily, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck, Donald Trump, etc., etc., are so well? Those, you don’t consider “MSM”? I think the right is well represented in the media, AND without a shadow of a doubt showing their true “colors”. I don’t get rich being an ass, because I have more pride in myself to put it on display.
In the context of the comment that was made by Mr. Kaplan, it had nothing to do with politeness, it had everything to do with taking the meaning of the wording of a song out of context and twisting to have some sort of racial overtone that was never intended.Funny in a cartoon, stupid when those who see themselves as the enforcers of PC push it to the limits of insanity.
I read comics to get a laugh. And for the most part, the artists deliver. The comments on the other hand only serve to depress. Why is it that everyone is whining. And that goes for both sides of the aisle. The truth of the matter is this divisiveness is what is wrong with our country today. No one will budge an inch. It used to be that some kind of compromise could be reached but the Liberal Left refuses to give an inch and the Conservative Right won’t budge. That leaves the sane people in the middle all alone to try to keep the country going and it just isn’t possible. We are all heading for a train wreck of Biblical proportions. And soon, it will become unavoidable if everyone keeps on in his or her selfish ways.
There’s a huge world of difference between being polite and being Politically correct. Politeness is not being offensive, Politically Correct is the paranoid cousin that finds offensiveness in everything.
