President Obama weighs in. "There was an ever-escalating number of missiles that were landing not just in Pakistani territory but in areas that are populated, and there's no country on earth that would tolerate missiles raining down on its citizens from outside its borders." -Obama said. "So we are fully supportive of Pakistan's right to defend itself from missiles landing on people's homes and workplaces and potentially killing civilians. "Pakistan has every right to expect that it does not have missiles fired into its territory." The president told a news conference in Asia. (Man: We have begun attacking the American Terrorists' missile bases and are prepared for a ground invasion.) He added: "If that can be accomplished without a ramping up of military activity against the United States, that's preferable.

Ah yes, Obama’s words regarding Gaza said without a hint of irony.I’m curious to hear what the usual hypocrites will say. It’s one thing if the US is doing it, another if it is someone the US doesn’t like doing it.

Hypocrisy, yes. But as long as Pakistan supports and hides Al-Qaeda they deserve what they get. Of course if we’d have gotten Bin Laden years ago, we might be out of there already.

Yeah, I winced when I read that he had said that. Right is with those that have the might.

There were about 17 sets of candidates on my ballot. It was either Bill Clinton, Obama or Roseanne Barr for me. Bill wasn’t on the ballot. I didn’t think Roseanne would garner enough votes to win. I very happily voted for Barrack Obama, again.

Wasn’t Ali Khan a Pakistani? And we keep giving them aid so their nukes won’t rain down on India or anyone else they get pissed at. I wish we could just pre-emptively go in and destroy them, but the info and expertise to reproduce is already out there.

omQ R: That was more a reflection on the Pakistani intransigence on their military’s backing of the Taliban/Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, while ignoring the threat they pose to their own security. The idea that we must rely on an unreliable government to protect their nukes is frustrating and unnerving. Could have been expressed better.

Did anyone else notice, that the way President Obama carefully stated his line, if you looked at it from the Gaza side of that ‘DMZ’ line, it looks just the same. There is no ‘right’ response from outside the pressure cooker.
