BIMBO from Mexico are going to make Twinkies. The world is safe from union destruction once again.Unless they’re bought out by venture capitalists like Hostess was. Then BIMBO will be extracted of it’s wealth and “labor costs” used as a scape goat for the company going into bankruptcy, just as with Hostess.
Wow. I had never heard of Grupo Bimbo . . . but it is “the most important baking company in brand and trademark positioning, sales, and production volume around the world”. Looks like revenue down sharply 3rd Q 2012, but only because it has just finished ‘digesting’ its acquisitions of Sara Lee and Fargo Bread – Argentina., in preparation for more growth.

I’m allergic to dairy. Hostess uses dairy in all their products while turkeys have no dairy. It’s a no-brainer for me; turkey day it shall remain.
