I thought after yesterday’s strip that there would be resolution (albeit NOT favourable to Agnes) today — that her grandmum would have called and said “put Lester to sleep”.

He must be one tough dog to have survived that much neglect.

Why is Jack Murphy leaving his own name and not that of the vet?

No excuses that will fly Agnes. We know that you and Granny don’t have two spare quarters to rub together, let alone $3200. Maybe an advertising deal for Lester?

For the most part, I agree with your sentiments. This is showing a darker side of Agnes that we are not accustomed to seeing. Not willing to give up the strip though, as generally this is a funny strip.

He said “messages” not emails. You don’t need a computer to receive anything from a hand written note to telephone voice-mail.

I knew it……..boarding fees would get her. Why would she give her pricipals name? Also why didn’t the principle tell her as she seems to usually be in his office quite often.Her love of her pet really shows….NOT.

LOL! … about the auto-deleting messages that are from your principal. We all know what Agnes’ relationship with her principal is like.

Nice that she says “OMG” aloud.

Our Vet bears a certain fatherly resemblance to Bob, the kid that’s always being spurned by Agnes.. Hmmmmm.

the dog is old. older than dirt. yet the vet boarded the dog? I’m thinking that dog may want to stay with the vet. fresh water. good food. health care.
