I liked your horoscope “window”. I wish I still had what I made. It either got given away or broken in one of my many moves. Never tried glass blowing, though I did have the chance.
First of all, dude, the Midwest IS the North. Most of it is quite a ways north of most of what you’re thinking of when you say “the North” with the exception of Maine.
Second, if you want to see fog, head for the border between Maryland and Virginia, and take a look around near the Potomac.
I did make a piece using the kiln method, with various types and thicknesses of clear, frosted and textured glass. I would still have it had my German Shepherd not slid across the floor, collided with the dresser and knock it onto the floor.
