We dream every night... Over 1000 dreams a year-but we only remember 5% of them! Need a what? Women require a license to wear high-heeled shoes more than 2 inches tall in the Californian town of Carmel-By-The-Sea! 98-year-old former US Navy sailor John Casey of Connecticut marched in his 66th consecutive Shelton Derby Memorial Day parade in 2012!

WOW! Marching in 66 parades, I don’t think I’ve seen 66 parades (and that includes Macy’s on TV)..

I don’t know how women can walk in high heels. When I was about 14 my feet were about the same size as my mother’s, so I tried walking around the house in her high heels and nearly sprained my ankles.

Way to go John. Thank you for serving our country.A license to wear over 2" heels? That’s going overboard but then again it’s California. The legislators had nothing better to do than be stupid.

Wikipedia at least has an interesting reason Carmel has such a law stating it was “enacted to prevent lawsuits arising from tripping accidents caused by irregular pavement”

The Police Chief in Carmel-by-the-Sea must have the authority to stop women, get down low and measure the heights of their heels. Interesting “perk” for the Chief’s job.
