Just because you don’t understand the science doesn’t make it any less true.

Let it go over the cliff. Then we can re-institute what need and not what we want.

Why do they keep showing a ledge instead of a cliff? We are headed there. The ledge will be a nice place to watch the Leonid Meteor Shower.

True, such warming has indeed happened before in a natural manner. But, that also occurred over thousands of years (fast for geological times, but certainly not for human history).

However, the changes are now happening in less than hundreds of years, and they are happening exponentially as never before.

Would a little logic then tell us that a factor that was never here before is causing this acceleration? Like perhaps humanity burning up tens of billions of tons of hydrocarbons into our fragile atmosphere, every single year??

    Could that even be possible?

You had better bet you bottom booties that it can!!!

The ultra cons on sites such as this one are so very worried that future generations are going to be so mad at this one for leaving them a large debt load to help stop this condition before mother nature goes over a cliff far higher than ANY fiscal cliff we can even imagine.

In a twisted kind of a way, they might be correct, as future generations will not be mad at us for doing nothing (and therefore leaving them a lighter debt load) about this problem that WE have created. However, this would then be because they will not be able to breath the air, drink the water, nor live on the polluted land that we bequeath them. The twist is that they will not resent us, as they will ALL be DEAD!!

So just perhaps we should be listening to those that have spent their lives both learning about, and then studying these kinds of things, instead of the likes of “entertainment” (if you want to call it even that) on FOX so called NEWS!!!

Oh, such as big oil and coal can indeed find some scientists willing to be paid off to counter the 99 or more true scientists that are true climatologists, but should we then listen to those with a totally vested interest in only the present, and absolutely no interest beyond the next quarterly report of their bloated empires. So you truly think that they actually give a hoot about future generations at all???

If I and the 99% of the worlds scientists that are convinced of the truth of Global Climate Change are wrong, then we will possibly lose some of our wealth, true. But if we are right, then those future generations will lose EVERYTHING. Is it truly worth the gambol???
