First! That shrub must be some sort of time capsule (or wired with Timelord technology).

Just put the new string on top. And consider lighting all of them.

That’s clearly a high-capacity shrub. But it is time to clean it out, Otterloop men!

    > Wow I remember watching in 1974 when> Nixon on TV resigned, “you won’t have > Nixon to kick around any more.”.The “You won’t have Dick Nixon to kick around anymore” line was in 1962, after Tricky Dick was defeated for California governor by Pat Brown (Jerry’s dad). He was wrong about that though — we did indeed get to kick him around some more after all. (He was askin’ for it, too!)

A local newspaperman died recently, and the obit mentioned that he’d covered Nixon’s resignation, believe it or not. I was somewhat saddened to think that that, now, was a measure of the far, far, distant pass.

(I was in a mess hall, having a late supper and watching two guys playing ping pong (on the table) with a hard boiled egg yolk when the tv news flash broke in. You don’t forget something like that.)
