A journalist recently said Republicans were going from being a hard line party of exclusion to be a condescending party of inclusion. Many of the suggestions by folks like Jindel and Cathy McMorris Rogers, are insulting to republican hardliners but seen as condescending by liberals.Mr. Bors cartoon will appeal strongly to liberals but fails to recognize the many moderate conservatives who feel at odds with their own party but cannot stomach the more "extreme’ goals of liberals. The democrats are best poised to take advantage of independent and moderate Repub feelings, but I fear the renomination of Nancy Pelosi as minority leader indicates a party not ready to set aside “impossible” issues in favor of bipartisan teamwork to solve our nations problems.I hope Ms. Pelosi will be less belligerent over the next two years or the Republicans will stick to their hard lines in a reasonable hope party faithful will be outraged by Democrat arrogance and failure to pursue goals sought by both sides of the aisle.Respectfully,C.

What could be a better way to control an unwanted pregnancy than to not have sex with disgusting Republican cavemen?

I read this morning that Romney says he lost because Obama gave stuff to minority groups. Gosh, that guy is a bad loser. And we can see that he really does believe that 47% nonsense. He lost for a couple of reasons. First, his policies didn’t attract enough voters, and second, because the Democrats ran a really efficient campaign. If the Republicans can’t run a good campaign, they shouldn’t be in charge of running the country.

A more Tea Party candidate? Really? Remember that Akin, Mourdock, and their big-government-conservative brethren did even worse than Romney, losing states that Romney won. Sure, put them up for president if you really want to to test the American patience with ignorance. But it’s been proved already, if you’re willing to start looking at factual evidence.

If Obama was white and had a name like “Brad O’Reilly”, he would have won in a popular landslide (at least 60% of the popular vote). He won despite being the “scary black man”.
