First Hillary, now David. They both took one for the team and kept quiet, but now don’t want anything to do with what happened in Benghazi and the coverup after.
The tendency of the legislature to focus on scandal and “impossible” issues keeps the nation divided and keeps the people’s business from being resolved. I find this cartoon to be very good. Neither Dems nor Repubs are focusing on this stupidiy called the Fiscal cliff. Just like last year, at a time when retailers are hoping for a flood of customers to buy things for Christmas, the D & R behavior is making people less confident about spending money that might be badly needed if Congress fails to act. And just like last year, there is already discussion about our credit rating taking another hit.Benghazi is being investigated as is Petraeus. But neither are as immediately urgent as our need to address this looming crisis. One note, Eric Cantor knew about the Patraeus affair in October.^http://wtvr.com/2012/11/11/eric-cantor-knew-of-petraeus-affair-in-october-said-spokesperson/^Just to keep things in perspective. Now can we talk about how to keep 100% of the people’s taxes from going up?Respectfully,C.
Reagan was given a pass, because we didn’t care, because it wasn’t a “real” war. But he DID invade Grenada shortly aafter, to keep “Cubans” frombuilding an air strip. BTW, C.DOWNS, thanks foir the Cantor reference. I guess since he knew earlier, that makes him a Moderate ? or maybe a “stealth Dem?”
@ansonia, you all are like the boy who cried wolf. how many lies do we have to listen to before you realize your conspiracy theories have no impact anymore. no one believes you. no is listening except for a small band of birther/fast&furious/benghazi waco’s.
@ansonia, yes, you’re information is flat. a better example would be ronald reegan saying he would never negotiate with terrorists and the subsequent cover up of ollie north being instructed to trade weapons/drugs for money to then negotiate with terrorists. he eventually admitted what he did. didn’t change the criminality of it, but the issue did go away.
@mickey1339, while what you say is true, this election certainly has NOT suspended the first amendment you can look back not to long ago where not only were only bush loyalist allowed to public rally’s to manipulate the image to make it look like he had 100% support, but the first amendment was effectively suspended with “FREE SPEECH ZONES (cold shiver)” where protesters were only allowed in pens miles away from what they were protesting. and such occurances even happened here in NYC.
the United States of America is supposed to be a Free Speech Zone.
Danny: maybe. The repubs are all over this as if the president (of whichever party) knows all. The more this all comes out, including Benghazi, it appears the admin did the best with what they knew at the time. I have yet to hear WHO set the Africa Command in Europe! And yes that makes him a traitor, unless of course he is angling for an ambassadorship!
