Certain repubtards are now trying to equate this to “Iran/Contra” and demanding a few years of hearings. Of course there’s nothing to investigate relative to Afghanistan/Iraq and prosecuting who lied there.

Yes, Pelosi DID make the biggest error in the history of the House by saying “Impeachment is off the table”, denying the country even an “official inquiry” into the greatest treason in our nation’s history. Even the circus around the Watergate break in led to people going to prison, as they should have, but Watergate didn’t lead to the deaths of thousands of our soldiers, and many thousands of civilians!

Right, now we have another “Zippergate” to investigate, truly vital to the nation’s security.

I certainly don’t blame him for doing that biographer.

Oh, please, ansonia. The conservatives are already trying to pin Petraeus’ affair to Obama. They think it’s to block him from testifying at the Benghazi hearings (though if they need him, they can still get him). Most of what “liberals” unearthed about Romney happened to be true. THIS is pure right-wing conspiracy theory lunacy, like the “Obama’s mother secretly posted a birth announcement in Hawaii just in case her son someday wanted to run for president, but it was important for him to be born in Kenya so that… so that… wait, I’m working on it. Oh, so he’d hate America! That’s it!”

The Benghazi attack is one thing. I personally think it should be investigated to settle this issue of something being covered up or our ambassador being abandoned. Unfortunately this thing with Patraeus comes up just to further cloud the issue. We lived through Clinton’s indiscretions and personally I don’t give a damn who these guys sleep with. That’s up to them and their wives to slug out. This whole thing is turning into another convoluted mess that is going to be a lot of finger pointing, nasty arguing on web sites like this one and will just further prolong the partisan divide we have in our country.

The whole blame Bush, “repubtards” just makes people defensive, not sympathetic to your message. People read that stuff and ignore it, and all it does is further the divisive state of mind in the country. As does all the “Dimlib” BS and calling President Obama disrespectful and down right childish names.

    1. Ambassador Stevens chose to go to Benghazi, against the advice of the Libyans, and even his own people, because they could not “secure” the situation there. HIs own sister said he knew the risk, and accepted it. These outreach “missions” are NOT always safe, nor defensible, especially with the small number of “defenders” as in contractors, available. End of Benghazi “story”, period.

    2. That the libidinous actions of a former military man, who would have been court-martialled for having an affair while still in the military, Article 134 UCMJ, is now being trotted out by “less than intelligent, OR patriotic” Republicans is beyond intellect. They do NOT have ANY “right” to be informed by either FBI, CIA, or State, when NO violation of law seems to have occurred, after investigation.

    3. That right wing evangelical Republicans still refuse to accept ANY fault for the actions, errors, or impacts of “W” because it was a whole three years ago, should reflect on how many of them are trying to destroy this country, and burn the Constitution, because some of “us” don’t go along with the myths and “preachings” of their favorite guy laid down as their “duty”, some 2,000 years ago!!
