I think it’s valuable to point out that this is the first time a sitting President has ever run for re-election. Thanks for your service to America, Henry!

Meanwhile Congress and the Senate have worked so hard. Ha!

Obama’s leadership got quite a bit of policy done, and steered the US from an oncoming depression. Romney couldn’t even bring himself to correct Donald Trump on his birther fantasies, and even travelled to LAs Vegas to receive his blessing. Romney would have been a useful tool for Norquist to destroy the country again, but never once showed any leadership capability.

The spider webs could represent the hindrance of the far right.

So now we get Carter’s third term instead of Bush’s third term I do not see how the country won anything

Let’s keep this cartoon in mind four years from now, and see if there has been any improvement from the previous 4 years, shall we?

One of our commentators from across the US borders said they had a 5 week long campaign season. We should try to adopt something smilar. These year long or more campaigns spend too much money and take up too much important time to be productive in the running of the government.I feel Mr Payne’s cartoon to be sadly appropriate. It would have been appropriate for W. Bush, Clinton, Bush Senior, and Reagan. When legislators are focused on reelecton, they are not focused on us. We need to legislate them some glasses.Respectfully,C.

I wish there was an “automatic” posting first on the list after every political cartoon. “The election is over. Now it is time to work on the solutions to our problems. We are all in this together.”

Maybe a little poly-anna like for some, but considering the gravity of our economic situation we need to focus on the solutions. We know what the problems are.

And I am genuinely sorry to say, that most of the time (not always, but then an analog clock that no longer runs is correct twice each day) it is not in your DNA to make intelligent posts either!!

Chris Christie noticed precisely how bad Obama’s leadership was after Sandy and commented on it, repeatedly.
