Uh, pigs kill more people every year in the U.S. than the total killed by “wild animals” in history. They are VERY dangerous critters. BTW, cows also kill far more people than bears, cougar, or wolves- even in Europe!

So, point being, Danae is right on track here!! Good girl!

We have a feral hog extermination project ongoing in my area. I always carry a .45 ACP pistol when hiking in the woods and have shot two hogs who attacked me. Fortunately, they know of or care little for stealth and you can hear them coming.

Roald Dahl has already done it. He revisited six classic fairy tales, including “The Three Pig” , and called it “Revolting Rhymes” Its a quick fun read.

I think I’ll stick to ‘fractured fairy tales’.

The original story had the pigs trapping the wolf in a pot and making stew of him.

Actually the original stories had the two lazy, careless pigs getting eaten. It took Disney to have them running to mooch off of their hard-working brother.

@sottwell -Sounds vaguely familiar… conservative pig & liberal pig brothers. Tell me there’s nothing political about fairy tales.

Name one statement in the Bible that you know is a lie….(don’t get upset with me, folks, if Omnius wants to say they don’t believe in the Bible, that’s one thing; but to state it is “the biggest fairy tale of all” and a “book of lies” are accusations that need proof!…and I didn’t start it, Omnius did, so lecture him/her about irrelevancies to the strip)

Recently a grandmother in Russia killed an attacking wolf with an axe. The newscaster called it rewriting “Little Red Riding Hood”.

Actually a book on Zombie versionsnof Fairy Tales would be sweet. They did it with Nursery Rhymes, Alice in Wonderland, etc

Yup. You see at the time straw and sticks were common building material. So people who were conservative leaned towards the traditional building materials. A liberal would have gone with brick. And made sure the larder was well stocked.

Yes! We need stuffed animals and video games. And yes, I’m tired of zombies and vampires. Love science fiction, though.Gotta love Danae! Keep thinking outside the fairy tale.

I was raised in a rural area…we had pigs back then, and one of my jobs was to feed the pigs. I was scared sensless by the idea of having to get into the pen with them to do the job. If only my parents were still alive to read this,,,,then they might understand why that job scared me so much!

That poor wolf. Anyone watching Once Upon A Time? See what they did to the wolf? I think Danae might approve.
