Snow is such great fun, until you have shovel it or drive in it.

same with DFW but we have had a couple of mornings of freezing temp. Of course by 10AM it is 65 outside and last week it was up into the HIGH 80’s. Gotta love Texas in the winter.

Here in KS temps back to normal. We had a very warm Thanksgiving of 84° I finally had my dream come true, instead of sports went for a walk. I can not stand sports or football.

To me SNOW is a dirty 4 letter word. If I never seen anothre flake of the stuff I would be happy.

Some of us, who are old enough to drive, own our homes, and shovel our drives – still love the snow.

In Texas up until I was five years old, I had only ever seen snow in picture books, movies, and on Christmas cards. When a freak storm dropped 14 inches of the stuff on us overnight, I couldn’t wait to go out and play. So, they bundled me up and sent me out. It was not what I expected. After about two minutes I was thinking, “This is cold. This is wet. This is NOT fun. I want to come in!”

I’m wearing shorts and a t-shirt today. And I’ll probably be wearing shorts and a t-shirt for Christmas. That’s what you get for living in Southern California.

There’s a reason to live in California; no snow season

Snow is an option if you want it drive up to the Sierra and enjoy it.

I still like snow only because we get it here in GA once a year. That’s a perfect amount for me – enough to have fun, but not too much to get burned out on it.

My grandmother’s house on the Southern Oregon coast had a concrete back porch with no railing. It was 4 feet off the ground at the top! The front porch, however was 2 8" risers to the front door and had a railing. Go figure.

That’s kind’a how I felt when aboun an hour ago when I got the snowblower dusted off, filled with fresh ga$ (with the proper amount of oil added) and it started on the first push of the starter button. Amen.

TexTech – you’ll never know the feeling down there where you are.

Well, I’m old enough to drive, almost 3/4 of a century, and I’ve lived in northern Minnesota most of my life, and I love the summers, but at this point I only accept the winters as an inevitable break between summers. But snow is pretty!

I moved to AZ from IL when I was not quite ready to retire and I still think that we have better weather here in ANY season than any place I could live! I remember having to get into those snow suits and I’m happy that I don’t have to see snow unless I really WANT to.
