Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Please help keep Thanksgiving one of the few remaining family holidays, and not do any shopping until tomorrow.

What about those of us who have to work? And I do NOT mean in the retail world.

Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy the food, fellowship with family, and a good nap. If you must participate in the Black Friday madness, then go at midnight. I would rather pay a little more and keep my sanity than fight the crowds just to save a few dollars.

Spending today with friends at an “orphans’ Thanksgiving” (hosted by a friend who opens her dining room and kitchen for those of us with family too far away to celebrate). Tonight I shall get back to writing more chapters of my book, and tomorrow, I shall return to my regularly scheduled job. Holiday shopping (not calling it Christmas shopping, since I also have friends who celebrate Hanukkah and Yule) will be done in December. No stress tonight or tomorrow. All is good.

Thanks to everyone who has to work. A lot of industrial facilities have to keep safety-essential equipment going and monitored 24/7 and there’s usually private security as well. “holidays” just mean holiday pay for many. And then there are military personnel in war zones – same miserable pay no matter what. THANKS!

Just be happy that there are a few industrial facilities left in the US. Help people celebrate thanksgiving – do NOT shop at the chain or box stores on Thanksgiving. Black friday is enough. These people (as well as most others)should not be forced to work on Thanksgiving.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

And PLEASE don’t ride with your dog loose in the car. If you hit anything or anything hits you, said doggy turns into an unintentional cannonball, and will hit you or the windscreen at speed. Ain’t no-one ends up happy. There are safe car restraints for dogs, same as there are for kids.
