Ralph: The tree is decorated, with gifts underneath. I'd better put up the baby gate! Aren't you embarrassed that we have to go to so much trouble to keep you from getting into things? Wally: "Embarrassed" is not in a wiener dog's vocabulary!

That looks more like a window screen. A baby screen has two parts and a knob to tighten them between the door jams.

The ONLY deterrent that kept my dogs out of certain rooms was a closed door. And even then, the doorknobs had some serious teeth marks on them.

Looks like our wiener dog. He decided to open someone else’s present early and eat some hand lotion.

The little lady to the left quickly learned where/how to hit the baby gate and release herself from a restricted area. I now use a old door screen that I put sideways across the kitchen door (no “real” door there). It overlaps by 2-3 feet on either side. With a chair in front of it, it keeps her out of trouble.

They need something similar to put between Ralph and the Christmas cakes and candy.
