It is like discouraging voting: shrink the pool and the old boy network can continue to rule. A few still manage to sneak through: Ida Lovelace, Maria Mitchell, Marie Curie, and a much larger bunch in the 20th century. Maybe there is more hope in the 21st.

My wife was a paralegal with accounting training; I am poor at math, but can do that math. I know grocery prices because we do that together.
