Yeah, that’s only in real life, Alix. In comics everyone stays the same – always!

As I said yesterday, “It’s not death that scares me it’s the possible pain and suffering I’ll go through before death that scares me.”

This is so something that I would say! I try to say something that is supposed to be reassuring yet instructive, but ends up being awkward and uncomfortable, and then I spend the next 5 minutes backpedaling and changing the subject. LOL!

“Death is swallowed up in victory” (Isaiah 25:8)“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (I Corinthians 15: 55-57)

The Apostle Paul was paraphrasing a quote from Hosea 13:14, where the word in question refered to “graves” or “death”. The New KIng James Bible translators chose the word “hades” – but the idea is still the same whatever word is used – death has been overcome by Jesus Christ. Paul was not advocating a belief in Greek or Roman mythology. This is quite clear if you read all of his writings. In fact, all of the various writers of the New Testament documents are in complete agreement on this point: Salvation is in Jesus Christ alone.

the only thing worse than politics in the comments is someone trying to cram their religion down everybody’s throat.

“The bells of hell go ting-a-ling-a-ling,For you but not for me,And the little devils how they sing-a-ling-a-ling,For you but not for me.Oh death, where is thy sting-a-ling-a-ling,Oh grave, thy victory? The bells of hell go ting-a-ling-a-lingFor you but not for me.”

To die: to sleep; No more; and by a sleep to say we endThe heart-ache and the thousand natural shocksThat flesh is heir to, ‘tis a consummationDevoutly to be wish’d.

Seasons don’t fear the reaper,Nor do the wind, the sun, or the rain.We can be like they are,Come on baby, don’t fear the reaper.

    The rest is silence.

I love the lighthearted smile, the casual posture, and the Yes—how’d I do? Honesty and comforting with a smile while not sugarcoating the truth. Well done, Ms. Eliott.
