NO President controls the weather, and certainly NOT the climate during these times of extreme climate changes.
IS that is the opposite to what this Pain character is trying to say ? Or just what IS he saying?
It is not his extreme conservative viewpoint that I object to, (there are others on both sides of the political spectrum here on this site), it is his extreme obscurity that I find objectionable, especially in a one panel cartoon!!
Could you please repeat that using proper English grammar? I assume you’re trashing President Obama because you are… well, YOU… but I still can’t make sense of your post.
experts and scientists have been saying for decades that america’s shoreline must have protection against storm surge, flooding, climate change, etc…but, conservatives rebuked that. they quote the bible, fringe scientists, economics, etc…have they even seen the news last week? 3 feet of snow in appalachia in october. millions without power going on a week, long lines for fuel, jersey shore has to be rebuilt, whole neighborhood burnt to the ground in queens, not to the deaths that were caused.
God gave the GOP a warning shot across the bow to stop bearing false witness by cancelling two days of their convention. But noooo….they wouldn’t listen.
“Here’s a link to a climatologist saying that here’s no evidence Sandy was caused by climate change.”-That’s because you can’t link any one storm to climate change. The case-by-case debunking doesn’t work because climate change is about a planetary environ, not individual weather events. It’s like steroids in baseball: In the era of steroid use by professional athletes, home runs increased dramatically. You can’t look at one home run in one game, in one at-bat by one player and say “that homer is a result of steroid use”. But just because that one event can’t be directly linked to steroids, doesn’t disprove the existence and effects of the drugs on the game. Same with climate change. You have to look at the entire system to understand, not pick and choose individual events.
Such exaggeration. He said FEMA type agencies would be better at the state level because they are in better touch with local needs than the Feds. Then the feds could just back them up if needed.
“Who do you trust? The proven 4 year failure who can’t get anything right because he has a D or is first on the ballot? Enjoy those free phones because people with jobs are paying for them.”As I see it, the race is between a sitting President who has been stymied at nearly every turn by blatant partisan politics and a challenger whose beliefs change to suit the current audience. That free phone service government program you’re whining about was put in place during a Republican presidential administration. But then you just don’t care about facts.
It was notable that my “redneck” neighbor, complete with southern drawl, spotted by Obama sign and derisively asked: “Were you born in America?” i responded yes. He then pointed out that while he never served in the military (4-F ya’all know) but his wife’s cousin was killed in Viet Nam.
I pointed out the only “organization” I belong to is the Disabled American Veterans, like my son is now eligible for.
When he voiced the Fux news version of what happened in Benghazi, and how great “W” would have done, I pointed out my son had served in "W"’s wars, and elsewhere with groups who knew more about our Middle East operations than Fox, or Limbaugh (of the cyst war fame).
HIs response was to stomp off proclaiming, “YOU don’t know nothin’.”
MItt supporters, and the far right, have re-created the “know nothing party”. We don’t need that.
“If you look at the comment I responded to, you will note that that person claimed Sandy WAS caused by climate change.”-I looked at your comment (Here’s a link to a climatologist …) and saw no @ sign, or the name of anyone in particular you were addressing. Regardless, my post, while addressed to you, covered both people who deny climate change, and people who point to specific events as evidence.-“In terms of looking at the total picture libs continue to ignore evidence that the globe isn’t warming.”-If there’s particular evidence you want the “libs” to pay attention to, perhaps you should offer it up so they can evaluate it, and offer commentary/rebuttal.
“…how soon you forget the intelligent being on national news claiming “I got my Obamaphone” free from Obama.”-If the being had said “I got my HOWGOZIT phone”, would that mean that you were responsible for the program and it’s recipients? You seem to think that attribution is the same as proof.
You can’t complain about anything else Ima said, so you complain about a missing m. Wow pretty desperate of you.===Okay, so where would you put that ‘m’ to make sense of that post?
Can’t refute, so we do an English lesson. Ima correctly stated there has been four years of failure…====Yes, but what does he mean when he says that he ‘can’t get anything right because he has a D or is first on the ballot?’It was either the Green Party or the Socialist Party that was first on the ballot. And no, I’ve never heard about an ‘Obamaphone’. I don’t listen to ‘Entertainment News’.
In their defense, it is remarkable how many impoverished from those southern states DO fill the ranks of our “volunteer” military. Also they work for less, so there are assembly, low skilled, jobs down there.
Here in Ohio it doesn’t seem the same as 4 years ago. No idea who’s gonna win, but there’s a lot less Obama-mania going on. Couple people I know just aren’t going to vote this time.

I’m sure he’d just say “It’s Bush’s fault”. Or maybe Reagan’s or why not Lincoln’s fault.

The program began in 1984, when Reagan was poresident. You are as ignorant as the woman in the video on this matter. Hope this penetrates you head.

Love the southern drawl prejudices voiced by the lefties.
Even the Washingcompost has given credit where it’s due to Fox reporting the facts and itself, faltering.
