F-35, now budgeted at $1.3 TRILLION, for ONE system! Debt at the end of "W"s final budget: $12.9 Trillion.

The cartoon is half right. There is no disputing that $5 trillion was added to the debt. However, I hold the entire House and Senate responsible as much as I do Obama. And of them, the most guilty are the senior members of both parties, those that have been in office for multiple terms.

Skip, unfortunately, 4th grade arithmetic get in the way of your claim.. The national debt was about $10 trillion on 9/30/2008 and $11.9 trillion on 9/20/2009. Any 4th grader knows that today’s $16 trillion is not more than double. Not liking Obama does not make your imagination factual.

denis: that $1.3 trillion IS for time, 20, purchase and “maintenance”, not 50 years, and delivery now of roughly 250 airframes, not 2,500. All the other countries signed on for JSF are backing out of their agreements. Don’t worry, our taxpayers will be put on the hook to make sure Lockheed, and the Cheney’s get their money to keep them off the soup lines. Every issue of Aviation Week seems to have another article on the failures of this aircraft to meet timelines, budgets, and performance requirements.

I also blame the multi-term members of both parties in Congress for the F-35 financial disaster. Lockheed was clever enough to spread the development of the F-35 throughout enough states and subcontractors that few members of Congress would want to kill it.

Is she an Oil Co. in drag? Maybe a phony farmer collecting subsidies? The biggest welfare recipients are the richest amongst us!

“F-35 costs money that produces a product, jobs for engineers, scientists, union production, manufacture of sub-components, giving money to the government back in taxes, providing money for housing, bills, local economy etc etc…”-So, it turns out that government CAN create jobs?

You’d have to be a big baby to get worked up over Dunham’s “your first time” ad. A Good Cartoon.
